The SonoPeel microdermabrasion uses gentle ultrasound waves and energy to micro-abrade off the thick, cornified layer of your skin and smoothen the surface of your skin. The gentle SonoPeel ultrasound waves lift off the outer dead cell layer of your skin, creating a softer, more youthful skin surface. The ultrasound waves also liquify sebaceous plugs, blackheads and whiteheads.
By reducing the thickness of the top layer of your skin, your skin will not only be smoother, but it will also help to minimize blackhead, white head and sebaceous plugs, all of which contribute to acne breakouts and poor skin conditions.

SpaMedica’s own Dr. Stephen Mulholland created the SonoPeel device, treatment, and procedure. Ultrasonic energy is delivered to the skin, removing dead skin cells, resulting and bringing in a smoother and softer appearance.
The SonoPeel treatment begins by slipping yourself into a comfortable pod-like chamber that massages your body. While you relax, one of SpaMedica’s medical estheticians will apply a cream to aid with exfoliation of your skin.
By using a constant stream of purified water, the high-speed vibrations and ultrasonic waves administered by the SonoPeel paddle will gently scrape away underlying tissue and dead skin cells.
When completed, the esthetician will apply a cream to your skin to help soothe and hydrate your newfound soft, smooth and light complexion.
When you arrive for your SonoPeel appointment, be sure that your skin is clean and free of bacteria, makeup and creams. Your specialist will likely perform additional cleaning before your SonoPeel treatment.
It is recommended that you avoid exposure to excessive heat and drink plenty of water following your SonoPeel treatment to keep your skin hydrated.
It’s also essential to adopt a skincare regimen comprised of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing the treated area every morning and evening. Exfoliation of your skin once or twice a week can also prevent dead skin cells from collecting, improving the appearance and health of your skin.
Depending upon your skin type, other forms of microdermabrasion, such as a Salicylic Chemical Peel, SilkPeel, or a Diamond Peel may also be recommended.
